Can I remove a persistent bonus from my active area at any time?
The designer ruled on persistent bonuses and later extended it to round bonuses, which differs from the older rulebook text.

Yes, at any time except while another ability is being performed. Dismissing ends the bonus and the card goes where it normally would: an A-side card flips to B and returns to hand, a B-side card is discarded, a lost card goes to the lost pile. Since the 2025 living rules update, round bonuses can be dismissed early too.
