Can an orbital strike hit a world that is only diagonal to my ships' void?
The rulebook requires an adjacent void in the active system, and adjacency excludes corners.

No — the void must be adjacent to the target world and both must be in the active system. Corner-only contact is not adjacent, so a corner world with no adjacent void cannot be struck, and worlds in other systems are out of reach.
