Do Mark of Nurgle or Daemonic Resilience still give tokens if the opponent has nothing to destroy?

Probably yes: the tokens are kept unless the opponent actually pays the 'unless' cost, so a lone bastion does not stop them. No designer ruling covers these cards, and the designer ruled the other way for Lure of Chaos.
