Which employees can be hired directly, and can I hire a Regional Manager?
The rulebook says only entry-position cards are hired, and the designer confirmed that only the final card must be available.

Only cards with the entry (triangle) icon can be hired. Higher positions, such as a Regional Manager or HR Director, must be trained up from a lower card that is on your beach, so a Regional Manager comes from training a Vice President. Hire and train in one action and you can skip intermediate cards that are out of stock.
