What happens when you Prepare for Summer with a full or nearly full hand?
You draw only as many Meadow cards as fit under the 8-card limit: two with 6 or fewer cards in hand, one with 7, none with 8. You cannot draw past the limit and discard, and you cannot choose to draw fewer. An earlier publisher answer allowing draw-then-discard was overturned by the designer.
