If a Farm lets you play a Husband or Wife for free, can you also play the other one for free?
No. Each Construction gives one free Critter. You may play only one of the pair for free, and you decide when playing the second card whether the two are paired. A later unpaired card cannot be paired afterward; the second card can be paid for on a later turn.
