At the end of the round the Atreides choose, card by card, to remove each revealed unclaimed card from the game permanently or shuffle it back into the deck. Three new cards are revealed at the start of the next round. Discarding lets the Atreides cycle the deck. Claimed cards are simply kept by the Atreides and never come back into play.
