Does Ironworks still give its bonus if Trader replaces the card you gained with a Silver?
No. Ironworks' bonus refers to the card it caused you to gain. When Trader replaces that gain with a Silver, the chosen card is never gained, so Ironworks gives no bonus. The designer first leaned the other way, then settled on this ruling; the same logic means no bonus when someone else gains the card via Possession.
