Must I repeat or spell out a clue if the other team asks?
The designer answered this and the rulebook says clues must be spelled out on request.

Yes. Repeat it in a way that is functionally the same, and spell it out if asked. The designer also advised writing the clue down before giving it, and capitalisation or punctuation should be clarified straight away.
