How does Clan Campbell's factory discount work?
The designer answered this directly in 2017, and the rulebook text agrees.

The discount grows within each building type: the first Cheese dairy, Bakery and Distillery are each £3 cheaper, the second and third £4 cheaper, and the fourth £5 cheaper. It does not carry across types (one Distillery and one Bakery each get £3), and it reduces only the building price, never the space's land cost.
