How much does Clan Buchanan pay when it obtains two Export contracts in one turn?
The designer's 2025 clarification narrows his earlier ruling and the rulebook's 'in one turn' wording.

Buchanan pays the round's contract cost once when it takes two contracts together in a single obtaining (the Obtain action, a Port tile, or a Building bonus). Each separate time it obtains contracts it pays again, even within one turn, so extra-action bonuses can let it take more than two contracts in a turn at full price each time. In the first round it gets the £5 each turn it obtains contracts, but only once for a pair taken together. The designer's 2017 answer (a second contract in the same turn costs nothing extra, even from a repeated Building bonus) was narrowed by his 2025 clarification, which is the one to follow; the rulebook's "in one turn" wording is the source of the confusion.
