You can't be forced to add Clank, so Clank-adding cards and purchases do nothing for you, and you can't choose to take damage in a tunnel, so a monster tunnel then needs Swords. You are 'off the hook' until cubes return via healing. Swagger doesn't pay for Clank you couldn't add.
