When I leave the dungeon, can I still play cards, buy and fight that turn?
The designer and publisher both said this is still a full turn.

Yes. Leaving makes this your last normal turn, but it is a full turn: you still must play all your cards, and you can spend Skill, Swords and gold before or after stepping out, in any order. After that you take no normal turns.
