If I discard a card to a discard effect, do I still get its resources or Clank?
The rulebook's Discard rule states only unplayed hand cards can be discarded and the card has no normal effect.

No. Discarding replaces playing it, so you get none of its Skill, Boots, Swords or Clank. Only cards still in your hand can be discarded this way, never ones already played, and discarding a Stumble that way avoids its Clank.
