If a card I buy on the turn I leave adds Clank, does the Clank go in the Clank Area?

Unclear. The rulebook says players who have left add no more Clank, which is read by some as applying once you step out; others hold you are not officially out until your turn ends, so Clank from that turn still counts. There is no official ruling. From the next turn on there is no doubt: nothing is added.
