Do I have to carry out a card's text right away when I play it?
The designer ruled on this in 2019, consistent with the rulebook's Order of Card Plays note.

No. You can use a card's resources whenever you like during the turn, and its text just has to be carried out before the turn ends, in any order and even between other actions. The designer's 2019 answer replaced an older reply that suggested doing it immediately.
