Does a card that ignores Crystal Caves apply to a Pit Trap?
The designer ruled that pit traps aren't crystal caves.

No. A Pit Trap is not a Crystal Cave. Evading a trap by trashing a card keeps you on the tile, so you still need another Boot to leave, while falling in ends Boot use that turn. The trap triggers the first time each turn you enter its room.
