Can dragon attacks hit me before I've taken an Artifact, even in the Crypt?
The rulebook says the attack draws colored cubes as damage for players with no exceptions for position.

Yes. Dragon attack damage applies wherever you are until you've left the dungeon. Keep your Clank low even while you're near the Crypt.
