Does Warp Shield protect a figure from a Hero token or Dark Elf Corsairs?
Several threads agree on the kill versus remove distinction.

No. Warp Shield only stops the figure being killed in battle. Heroes and Dark Elf Corsairs remove figures, which it does not prevent, and Old World effects resolve after Chaos cards leave. It does stop Final Rotting, which says kill.
