Do tokens placed by an Old World card stay when the card leaves the track?
The rulebook says leftover Event tokens remain; other tokens have no removal rule.

Yes. Unless the card says to remove them, nobles, heroes and other tokens it placed remain on the board. Event tokens stay too, but do nothing until a card redefines them.
