Three bullets go to the incoming for each trigger: your third pattern in a round, your third AP in a round, and losing your third life. The first two can fire every round, the life trigger once per game, and gaining extra AP does not change the count. Each time her third pattern resolves her incoming returns to the center, so she cannot be damaged then.
