How many cards can I keep in hand from one Age to the next?
The rulebook's Discard phase states the one-card limit and discarding everything in Age 3.

At the end of Ages 1 and 2 you discard down to one card to carry into the next Age; in Age 3 you discard everything. Keeping the card is optional, and players say you may keep one from Age 1 through Age 2 to play in Age 3. Cards already played to your sheet are not part of your hand and stay in play.
