If I raise my Rage stat during an Age, do I get the extra Rage immediately?
Many players agree, and it follows from the rulebook's start-of-phase Rage rule.

No. The Rage stat only sets how much Rage you receive at the start of the next Age, so a pillage reward or quest that raises it does not add Rage to your current pool. Only effects that move Rage directly, such as Loki's Trickery or Thor's Ascension, change what you hold now.
