Do I gain Glory when my figures are destroyed in battle?
Several players agree that battle deaths give no automatic Glory; one player disputes it by citing the Play Tips.

Not by default. Glory for deaths comes from Ragnarök (2/3/4 per figure by Age). Battle deaths give none unless a card or clan upgrade says so, or you use the Valkyrie. One player notes the rulebook's Play Tips mention gaining Glory from dying.
