Does a Poisoner's poison end when the Poisoner dies or becomes another character?

Yes. An ability's persistent effects end when the character loses it — on death or when they stop being that character — so the target is healthy again and gets accurate information at their next turn. The same applies to the Sailor: whoever it made drunk sobers up when the Sailor dies.
