Does ICE hosted on Awakening Center protect the server, and can Midori swap it?
No to both. Hosted ICE is not protecting the server, so it gets no server bonuses (Experiential Data, Akitaro Watanabe) and the Runner encounters it instead of approaching it, so approach-triggered effects such as Midori's swap or Project Wotan do not apply.
