How much food does a newborn family member eat at harvest?
The publisher and the designer both described the 1-food newborn rule, and the rulebook agrees.

1 food if the person was born in that same round and has not yet taken an action; otherwise 2 food, like everyone else. A baby born earlier eats 2 at later harvests.
