Can I prep a spell onto a closed breach that another player focused, or that I focused on an earlier turn?
The designer confirmed this and it matches the rulebook's prep rules.

No — a spell can be prepped to a closed breach only on the turn it was focused, and only by the player taking that turn. A focus from Focusing Orb on another player's breach does not let that player prep there, and a focus from an earlier turn does not count.
